FA Parent Support is the parent/teacher organization of The Franklin Academy.
Its purpose is to assist in the promotion of excellence in programs and
atmosphere for education. Please contact your child's homeroom teacher to get
more info or email faps@franklinacademy.org
to get involved!
FA Parents provide aid and services to the school's educational & social
activities. FA Parents meetings are held each quarter. Meeting times are
published in the FAPs newsletter. All are welcome to attend.
Parents are integral to the success of our school. Not only does parental
involvement greatly benefit the actual running of the school, but it also
conveys an important message to the students--the well-being of our school and
the education of our children is of utmost importance to Franklin Academy
parents.
At Franklin Academy, parents volunteer their skills and talents in a variety
of ways on a daily basis. For example:
volunteering in the classroom through enrichment activities
providing supervision during lunch (giving the teachers a brief planning
period)
planning "teacher appreciation" events
organizing community service and cultural arts programs
chaperoning field trips
planning a yearly bookfair & reading incentive programs
publishing a quarterly school newsletter
encouraging community involvement in our school
arranging social activities for the students to attend after school
