Franklin Academy Parent Support
What is FAPS?
FAPS is “Franklin Academy Parent Support.” FAPS exists to support the faculty and students of Franklin Academy. The members of FAPS provide crucial volunteer assistance and financial resources for extracurricular events and projects. FAPS encourages a strong communication between the school and Franklin Academy families. Throughout the year, the FAPS Board meets on a regular basis with school wide meetings held twice annually.
Does it cost money to be a part of FAPs?
No, Franklin Academy generously subsidizes FAPS.
What can parents do?
Franklin Academy has many opportunities for parents to volunteer. Each K through 8 homeroom needs a room parent to help organize grade and class events. Parents volunteer to supervise lunch in the classrooms so teachers can have a lunch break. Events such as Book Fairs, Art Fairs, Field Days, Career Day, and school dances need volunteers. Projects undertaken by the Grounds Committee and Teacher Appreciation Committees are examples of events run on pure parent power. Please sign-up to volunteer through FAPs HERE!
The FAPS Board and Committees meet quarterly to review finances and establish the FAPS calendar for upcoming months.
Please contact any Board member for more information.
